Privacy

Betting Apps Kenya sets no cookies, runs no analytics, has no forms and no accounts. This is true of the build you are reading. The page explains what that leaves (a web server's own log), names the third parties involved (none) and sets out your rights under the Data Protection Act, 2019.

What this site collects

Nothing by design. There are no cookies, no analytics scripts, no advertising scripts, no embedded videos, no social buttons, no comment system, no newsletter form, no contact form and no user accounts. Fonts are served from this site's own server, not from a font service. The pages are static files; nothing on them identifies you to this site or to anyone else.

The filter box on the app check page works entirely inside your browser. What you type there is not sent anywhere.

What the server logs

Like any web server, the server that delivers these pages can record each request: the address of the page requested, the time, the status code, the browser's identification string and the network address (IP address) the request came from. Such logs exist for the operation and security of the server. They are not combined with any other data, not used for profiling and not shared with anyone. The publisher has not yet published the hosting arrangement or the retention period; when the publisher's details are published, this section will state them.

Third parties

None. No third-party script runs on these pages, no content is loaded from another domain, and the site has no advertising or affiliate relationships, as the page on money explains.

Guides link to primary sources such as the regulator's website, Google's and Apple's policy pages, Safaricom's service pages and the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner. Those sites have their own privacy terms. This site never links to an operator.

Your rights under the Data Protection Act, 2019

The Data Protection Act, 2019 (No. 24 of 2019) was assented to on 8 November 2019 and commenced on 25 November 2019. Section 2 defines personal data as any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, and a data controller as the person or body that determines the purpose and means of processing. Section 26 gives a data subject the right to be informed of the use to which their personal data is to be put, to access it, to object to processing, and to correction or deletion of false or misleading data. Section 56 lets a data subject lodge a complaint with the Data Commissioner orally or in writing, and the complaint must be investigated and concluded within ninety days. Among the principles in section 25, paragraph (h) requires that personal data is not transferred outside Kenya without proof of adequate safeguards or the data subject's consent.

Because this site holds no personal data about you beyond a server log, most of those rights have nothing to act on here. They matter a great deal for the betting app on your phone, which holds your ID photo, your phone number and your transactions. The Office of the Data Protection Commissioner states that section 18 of the Act and the 2021 Registration Regulations require organisations processing personal data to register, and it publishes a searchable register of data handlers in which an operator can be looked up by name.

If analytics is ever enabled

This page changes first. Any analytics would start with consent denied by default, would be named here with the provider and what it records, and would be switched on in the site's configuration, not in a guide's text. Until this page says otherwise, there is none.

Children

This site is for adults aged eighteen and over and collects no data from anyone, so it collects none from children. It publishes nothing aimed at them.
