How we make money

Betting Apps Kenya earns nothing today. No advertising, no affiliate links, no sponsored pages, no paid listings, no subscriptions and no donations. This page lists the ways a site like this could earn money, says whether each is used here, and explains the law that stands behind the empty column.

Income today: none

The site is new, launched on 28 October 2026, and is paid for by its publisher without any income from readers, operators or intermediaries. If that changes, this page changes first, before any link or label appears anywhere else on the site.

Possible sources of money, and whether they are used here

SourceUsed on this site?Why not
Affiliate links to operators (a commission when a reader registers or deposits)NoA link that earns on registration is a communication intended to promote participation in gambling, which is an advertisement under regulation 2 of the Gambling Control (Advertising) Regulations, 2026, and section 87(1) of the Act prohibits that without the Authority's approval. The site holds no approval.
Display advertising for operatorsNoSame reason. Regulation 8(c) of the Advertising Regulations also prescribes what every approved advert must carry, from the licence number to the words 'authorized and regulated by the Gambling Regulatory Authority'; the site is not set up to carry approved adverts and does not intend to be.
Paid or sponsored position in the licence tableNoThe table is the regulator's list in alphabetical order. A paid position would be a ranking, and a ranking is promotion.
Bonus codes and exclusive offersNoRegulation 9 of the Advertising Regulations prohibits a call to action in gambling adverts; a code with an amount next to it is exactly that.
Advertising unrelated to gambling (phones, data bundles, software)NoNot prohibited, but it would mean third-party scripts and tracking, which the privacy page promises the site does not run.
Subscriptions or a paywallNoThe point of the site is that anyone about to install an app can check it. A paywall would defeat that.
DonationsNoNo payment channel exists, and the publisher has not published its legal entity, so there is no one to donate to.
Selling reader dataNoThe site collects none: no cookies, no analytics, no forms, no accounts.

The law behind the empty column

Section 87(1) of the Gambling Control Act, 2025 provides that a person shall not, without the approval of the Authority, promote the advertisement of a gambling activity on an electronic medium or any other form of communication. Section 87(4) makes a contravention an offence with a fine of up to twenty million shillings, imprisonment for up to twenty years, or both. The Gambling Control (Advertising) Regulations, 2026 (Legal Notice No. 114, made under sections 87(3) and 119(2)(j) of the Act) require an advertiser to apply to the Authority at least seven days before a campaign starts (regulation 5) and prohibit, in regulation 9, a call to action, association with celebrities or social success, depiction of gambling as investment or income, content that appeals to minors, testimonials and former winners.

A commission-earning link is the clearest example of a communication intended to promote participation. That is why operator domains on this site are plain text, and why no page carries a tracking link, a banner or a code.

What would happen first if this ever changed

  1. The publisher would publish its legal entity and contact channel, leaving DEMO status.
  2. Any arrangement with an operator would be disclosed on this page before it took effect, with the name of the operator and the nature of the payment.
  3. Any gambling advertisement would exist only with the Authority's approval under section 87(1) and would carry the content that regulation 8 of the Advertising Regulations prescribes.
  4. Paid links, if any, would be marked as such on the page and would never appear in the licence table or in the text of a guide.
  5. The editorial policy would be updated the same day.

What this means for you

No operator pays to be named, so no operator is named more warmly than another. The order of the table is the alphabet. When a guide says that an APK from a chat group cannot be tied to a licence line, nobody earned anything from the sentence.
