Corrections
A site that quotes the law and the regulator's list has to be right, and when it is not it has to say so. This page explains what counts as an error here, how to report one, what happens next and where every correction is logged, with the date and the page it concerns.
What counts as an error
- A wrong or missing section number, regulation number or legal notice number.
- A quotation that differs from the source, including a licence number, a trading name or a domain that does not match the regulator's list as published.
- A date that is wrong: an Act's commencement, a regulation's gazette date, the date a page was read.
- A figure without an 'as of' date, or arithmetic that is wrong or not labelled as an illustrative example.
- A statement about Google Play, the App Store or Android that the stores' own pages do not support.
- A broken internal link, a missing 18+ notice or a missing link to the help page.
A difference of opinion about what the law should say is not an error. A change in the law after a page was written is not an error either, but it is a reason to update the page, and the update is logged in the same way.
How to report
Say which page, quote the sentence as it appears, and give the source that shows it is wrong: the section of the Act, the regulation, the regulator's page or the store policy page, with the date you read it. A screenshot of the regulator's list helps when a licence line is in question. The publisher's contact channel is not published yet; when it is, it will appear here and in the footer. Until then, errors found by the editorial team's own checks are corrected and logged below.
What happens next
- The report is checked against the primary source, not against another website.
- If the page is wrong, the text is corrected and the 'Updated' date on the page changes.
- A line is added to the log below with the date, the page and what changed.
- If the error changed the meaning of a guide, a note is added at the point of the change.
- If the source itself has changed (for example, the regulator updated its list), the page says which version it quotes and when it was read.

Where corrections do not happen
The licence table is never corrected by hand. It reproduces the regulator's page as read on 28 October 2026, including spelling and stray characters, because changing a character would make it something other than the regulator's list. If the regulator's page changes, the table is refreshed from the page, and the refresh is logged here with the new reading date.
